On May 9, 1980 four men and one teenager robbed Security Pacific bank in Norco California. Norco, located in Riverside County was a sleepy little town of just over 19,000 people at the time. More known for their cow farms and horse ranches then for its crime statistics. Norco on that day would become the stage for one of the most epic rolling gun battles for its time.

By its conclusion 2 of the robbers were dead, 32 police units were destroyed or damaged by gunfire, one police helicopter was shot out of the air, eight officers were shot and injured and one sheriffs deputy was killed.
